When Beauty Goes Wrong

"When Beauty Goes Wrong" tells the tragic story of Diana Mukeli, an ambitious yet fragile young actress. Constantly haunted by industry criticism about her appearance, which was deemed "less than perfect," Diana takes a drastic step: undergoing a series of subtle cosmetic procedures to "perfect" her face in pursuit of the role she desperately desires.

Under the charismatic promises of Dr. Miles, Diana envisions a seamless future. However, after the operation and the removal of the bandages, horror awaits her. Instead of perfection, her face has become a horrifying stranger; too tight, subtly asymmetrical, and her eyes permanently wide, eliminating her natural ability to emote.

Diana soon realizes that the surgery has destroyed, rather than enhanced. Her career immediately stalls, as her new face is incapable of conveying emotion, the very essence of her profession. The final blow comes when her close friend fails to recognize her. "When Beauty Goes Wrong" is a devastating cautionary tale about the obsession with perfection in Hollywood, and how in the pursuit of an idealized self-image, Diana loses the most valuable thing: her authentic original face and her own identity.
